Gangotri, a blessed Hindu pilgrimage is the source of holy river Ganga which is called at that point as Bhagirathi. Gangotri is a stunning place which becomes highly packed during the months of May-June. If you are interested in real wonders of nature then it is better you leave this place for Gaumukh and Tapovan as early as possible. Pay your obeisance at Gangotri temple and head towards Gaumukh. Gaumukh means Cow’s mouth and is 18 kms trek from Gangotri having a stable but gradual climb. Next place to Gaumukh is Chirbasa meaning place of pines, about 8 kms from Gangotri and then 7 kms from Chirbasa lies Bhojbasa meaning place of birches although no such tree exist there.

Day 01 : Delhi – Haridwar (230 kms/6hrs)
Arrival Delhi Railway Station, Meet and Assist further drive to Hardwar, enroute lunch. Later drive to Hardwar transfer to your Hotel. Visit Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti in evening. Back to your hotel, Dinner and Night halt.

Day 02 : Haridwar – Uttarkashi – Gangotri (Drive 267 Kms, 08 hrs)
Morning leave for Gangotri via Uttarkashi. On arrival Gangotri check in at the hotel. evening Darshan of Shree Gangotri Ji perform Arti of Shree Bhagirathi River. Overnight stay at Hotel.

18th century temple constructed by Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa , is near the spot where the goddess Ganga is said to have first descended on earth from heaven, in answer to the prayers of King Bhagriath. The revered shrine of Gangotri, situated at an altitude of 3,200 mts. about sea-level amidst sylvan surroundings, constitutes one of the mostimportant pilgrimages for the devout Hindu. Lord shiva received her into hismatted locks to break the great force of her fall. From there it emerged into many streams and the one which started from Gangotri was called Bhagirathi. The Pandavas, it is said, came here to perform the great ‘Deva Yajna’ to atone for the deathof their kinsmen in the epic battle of Mahabharat. The temple itself is situatedon the right bank of the Bhagtathi .

Day 03 : Gangotri – Bhojvasa (18 Kms. trek)
Morning start trek to Bhojvas via Chirvasa. On arrival Check in at Tent or Guest House. Overnight stay in Bhojvasa.

Day 04 : Bhojvasa – Gaumukh – Bhojvasa (05 kms trek one way)
Morning start trek to Gaumukh. On arrival Gaumukh explore Gaumukh. Than trek down to Bhojvasa. Overnight stay in Bhojvasa.

Gaumukh is where the waters of Ganga trickle down from the glaciers. The sages called it ‘Gaumukh’, because in the distant past, it probably appeared like a cow’s mouth; though today it no longer appears so. The Gaumukh glacier is the source of Bhagirathi (Ganga) and is held in high esteem by the devouts who do not miss the opportunity to have the holy dip in the bone chilling icy water. It is 18 kms. from Gangotri. There is a Tourist Bungalow at Bhojbasa, 14 kms. from Gangotri where lodging and other facilities are available. From Gangotri we move along the beaten track towards Chirbasa, which is on the tree line. From here, we can get a clear view of the Bhagirathi Peak.

Day 05 : Bhojvasa – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (18 Kms trek + 100 Kms drive)
Morning trek down to Gangotri. Upon arrival Gangotri meet to driver and drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival Check in at Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 06 : Uttarkashi – Rishikesh (145 kms. Drive 6 hrs.)
Moring drive to Rishikesh via Dharasu Band and Chamba. On arrival Rishikesh check in at hotel. Evening visit Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula. Overnight stay at Hotel.

24 Kms. from Hardwar. Located in the laps of lower Himalayas, and is surrounded by scenic beauty of the hills on three sides with Holy Ganga flowing through it. The whole place is considered to be sacred as it is believed that meditation at this place leads to attainment of salvation. There are many temples-some ancient, some new along the river Ganges. Rishikesh is important not only as pilgrimage centre closely associated with the Ramayana, but also as home for many important centers of Hindu religious thought and spirituality, and as a very great Yoga Centre. There are a great many ashrams and Yoga institutes here. Rishikesh is also the gateway and the start-off point for journeys to important religious places like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.

Day 07 : Rishikesh – Haridwar- Delhi (230 Kms. 6 – 7 hrs)
Morning drive to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi drop you at the Airport / Railway station for onwards destination.
