The pass gets its name due to its yellow coloured soil, which has been compared to the colour of turmeric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Haldi Ghati has great historical significance as it had stood witness to the war between one of India\u2019s greatest warriors Maharana Pratap and Raja Man Singh of Amber, who was a general to Mughal Emperor Akbar.<br><br>Today, a bronze statue of Maharana Pratap on his favourite horse Chetak has been installed at the Haldi Ghati by the Government of India. The region is also famous for its charity rose product and the mud art of Molela.<br><br><strong>Location:&nbsp;<\/strong>Haldighati&nbsp;is&nbsp;<strong>located<\/strong>&nbsp;at a distance of 40 km from Udaipur.<br><br><strong>Best time to visit: <\/strong>October to March<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Location of Haldighati<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Situated in the Aravalli range, the historic site of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aagmanrajasthantours.com\/\">Haldighati <\/a>is 40 km away from the central Udaipur city near the Rakt Talai on the Maharana Pratap Stadium Road. The Haldighati region is situated in the Aravalli mountain range which links the Pali and Rajasamad districts in Rajasthan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Architecture of Haldighati<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Haldighati is a unique historic mountain pass located in the Aravalli Mountain range. Haldighati derived its name from the term \u2018Haldi\u2019 means turmeric in English, used as a spice in Indian delicacies and \u2018Ghati\u2019 means valley which together makes the name Haldighati. The soil found in this region of Udaipur is yellow in color, hence the place is named Haldighati.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a cenotaph called chhatri in Hindi built on the place where the horse of Maharana Pratap, Chetak breathed his last. This cenotaph is located at a close distance of 4 Km from the Haldighati in pure white marble to pay respect and admire the contribution of the fastest horse in Indian history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can find Balicha village located close to the region known for its unique knowledge of arts and crafts via terracotta. There is a stunning garden in the name of Badshahi Bagh. The presence of \u2018Chaitri-Gulab, original and authentic rose water, and \u2018Gulkand\u2019 (jam made from rose petals) is unique to this garden.
